EFFECTIVE GRAPHICS

Graphics can convey emotions and ideas much faster than text can. Graphics don’t wait for the viewer to create their own images of a product or service, they create the images for the viewer so all the viewer has to do is be mesmerized by the excitement of the moment, the thought that this product or service can indeed add value to their life or business.

Seldom is a sale done in one step. It is a series of steps that if you want the prospect to take them each step needs to lead logically to the next step. Each graphic needs to have a specific purpose and needs to accomplish that purpose in the time it has available to do so.

Two Types:

1. Atmospheric graphics (Environmental)
2. Action graphics

Atmospheric graphics work on the level of emotions. They are designed to make a person feel a particular feeling. Generally it is to put the viewer in a mood that makes them comfortable with doing business with you. It can create the illusion of space, whether it is of the outdoors when you’re inside, or a comfortable room when you’re outside. It may be abstract shapes and colors that reflect the culture of the company or images that give more depth to a room. These graphics are passive in nature and don’t call upon the viewer to actively participate in the images. Atmospheric graphics aren’t as “In your face” as action graphics

ction graphics are a little more forward than atmospheric graphics. In addition to creating a certain type of atmosphere, action graphics also inform, offer and suggest a type of action the viewer needs to take in order to secure the offer AND they need to provide a means of taking action, such as a phone number or web address. Action graphics are the meat and potatoes of the marketing industry. Effective action graphics make the difference between a dud campaign and an explosive campaign! When all the elements of an action graphic work together, there is no stopping the message from making a difference.
